Want a desk, floor or dashboard? The UV laminate model is the right choice: it withstands foot traffic, kitchen heat and car washes. If your surface isn't listed or you have doubts, write to us before ordering and we'll help you decide.

Details and exceptions per surface

Textured walls: we don't recommend applying decals directly on stippled or textured walls, even fine texture. If you need to decorate one, install a smooth backing (foam board or thin board) first and apply the decal on top.

Recently painted: wait 3-4 weeks after painting. If you don't, you risk lifting paint when removing the decal.

Glossy painted wood: sand lightly to improve adhesion.

Tiles: grout lines between tiles will show through after installation.

Daily-use desk/table: printed vinyl without laminate wears down with intensive use. For tables, we recommend the UV laminate model.

Floor: non-laminated decals can't withstand foot traffic. Always use the UV laminate model for floors.

Dashboard: works without laminate but degrades faster from sun and chemical cleaners.

Shower: avoid areas with direct, constant water contact.

Radiator: sustained high temperatures weaken the adhesive. If used regularly, the decal will deteriorate faster.

Outdoor (printed): 5-year warranty under sun exposure (3-4 years for metallic finishes).

About the transfer paper

The transfer paper comes already applied to the decal. You don't need to attach it: it arrives in place, keeps the design aligned during installation and peels off easily when you're done.

Squeegee pre-added

The plastic squeegee we recommend for smoothing out bubbles comes pre-added to your cart. If you already have one at home, you can remove it before paying.

How to install

Most of our customers install it themselves, even with no prior experience.

Before you start, check that:

The surface is clean, dry and free of dust or grease.
Room temperature is between 10-25 °C / 50-77 °F (vinyl doesn't adhere well below 10 °C).
You haven't painted the wall in the last 3-4 weeks.
You have the squeegee handy (included if you didn't remove it from the cart).

Select your decal size

Small piece Less than 40 cm — dry install Large piece 40 cm or more — center hinge method

1 Clean the wall with a damp cloth and let it dry completely.
2 Position the decal (already comes with transfer paper applied). Mark corners with masking tape if you want to lock the position.
3 Peel off the backing paper, holding the decal + transfer set together.
4 Apply in one move from one edge, smoothing with your hand to avoid bubbles.
5 Run the squeegee from the center outward, pressing firmly.
6 Peel off the transfer paper slowly, at a low angle (~30°). If a piece lifts, press it back with the squeegee and retry.

1 Clean the wall and let it dry.
2 Mark the center of the decal and the wall with a soft pencil or masking tape.
3 Position the decal aligning the centers. Tape the top edge with masking tape to act as a hinge.
4 Lift the lower half and remove the lower half of the backing paper. Cut the removed backing so it doesn't get in the way.
5 Lower the decal slowly, smoothing from the center outward with the squeegee.
6 Repeat with the upper half: remove the hinge tape, lift up, peel off the remaining backing, lower while smoothing with the squeegee.
7 Peel off the transfer paper slowly, at a low angle (~30°), starting from a corner.
8 If bubbles remain, prick them with a fine pin and smooth toward the hole.

Care, durability and removal

What you need to know to keep it in good shape for years and remove it without damage.

Cleaning and maintenance

Daily cleaning: a dry or lightly damp microfiber cloth is enough to remove dust. For tougher dirt: warm water + neutral soap + soft cloth, no hard scrubbing.

What NOT to use: harsh solvents (acetone, mineral spirits), abrasives (scouring pads, powders), bleach, or ethyl alcohol-based products.

How to remove the decal

Warm the decal gently with a hairdryer on medium heat (not high), about 15-20 cm / 6-8 inches away.
Pull slowly from a corner, keeping a low angle (~30°) to the wall. If you feel resistance, warm again.
Remove any adhesive residue, if any, with a cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

⚠ Recently painted wall (less than 3-4 weeks): risk of lifting paint along with the decal. Wait for the paint to fully cure.

If you run into a tricky removal (paint about to come off, stubborn residue, delicate surface), check our FAQ before using harsh products. Some solvents damage more than they clean.

Can I apply it to textured/stippled walls?

We don't recommend it, even for fine texture: adhesion is poor and the result suffers. If you need to decorate a textured wall, install a smooth backing first (foam board or thin board) and apply the decal on top.

How do I remove it without damaging the wall?

Warm the decal gently with a hairdryer on medium heat and pull slowly from a corner at a low angle. Remove any residue with a cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

How do I clean the decal?

Soft cloth dampened with water and neutral soap, no hard scrubbing. DO NOT use solvents, bleach, abrasives or ethyl alcohol.

What's the material warranty?

Indoor: up to 20 years in controlled conditions (no direct sun, no humidity). Outdoor: 5 years (3-4 years for metallic finishes). Plus a 3-year legal warranty on all products.

Do I need special tools?

Just a plastic squeegee, which is pre-added to your cart (you can remove it if you already have one). Instructions are included in every order.

How long does shipping take?

Spain and Portugal: 24-72 working hours. Rest of Western Europe: 3-7 days. USA: 4-7 days. Full table by destination on the Shipping Methods page.

What if my product arrives defective?

3-year warranty + free replacement if it doesn't match the requested measurements, color or finish. 100% free handling. We pick up and replace without you having to lift a finger.

Does the transfer paper come pre-applied?

Yes. It arrives applied to the decal, keeps the design aligned during installation, and peels off easily when you're done.

How long does the color last with direct sun?

Non-metallic material has a 5-year outdoor warranty. In all-day direct sun zones (south-facing, coast), the warranty applies but the color may fade earlier.

What if the edges peel after a few weeks?

Years ago we changed the material to one with better adhesion after similar complaints. The one we use today holds better on painted wood and lightly textured surfaces. If it happens, email us: covered under warranty.

Can I return it if I'm not convinced?

Yes, you have 14 calendar days to withdraw from the date of delivery. That said: custom-made products (text on demand) are excluded by regulation.

Does it work on lightly uneven surfaces?

Yes — walls with very light relief or slight unevenness. For fine texture the result drops; for marked texture, we don't recommend it.
